Dinkville Packing Out The Courts
Dinkville members continue to fill up the courts for Saturday's Ladder Play and Open Play Monday-Thursday!
Saturdays Ladder play at Cedar Hill was packed full which made it a little harder to schedule things out! Thank you everyone for coming to show support and going with the flow. Due to the high demand, moving forward we are separating it into two separate time slots for each level to get more people on the court and also looking into having a second location where we can have multiple ladder play options!
Monday and Wednesday nights at Memorial Park in Hendersonville, TN from 6pm-9:30pm and Tuesday-Thursday's at Municipal Park in Gallatin, TN from 4pm-7pm for members and walk ups pack out the courts for fun competitive play!
Monday at Hendersonville, Memorial Park, had 5 courts going with a couple of people waiting to rotate in!
Tuesday at Gallatin, Municipal Park, had about 4 courts going with some courts doing their league play games.
Wednesday in Hendersonville, there were 5 courts going with many of you staying late to wrap up the night of pickleball
Thursday at Gallatin was another great showing where there were 4 courts playing. Two courts were league play and two were open play. After the league play was over all courts switched over to open play. There was even a small time where we had some drilling going on and coaching! What a great night it was in Gallatin.

Get to know Dinkville Member Gwyn Welch
Who are you- Gwyn Welch, wife of Scott, mother to two adult children Caroline and Jay, and Nurse Practitioner at VUMC; oh, and mother to Daisy a 16yo miniature, long hair Dachshund!
When did you start playing Pickleball?- I took a clinic at the end of 2019 in Hilton Head while on vacation.
Why do you love Pickleball? It has added a dimension to my life that I didn't know I needed until now! Playing games provides great physical exercise, mental focus, and planning if you want to play strategic games. Mostly, though I love that I've met so many great people, many who have become cherished friends.
What is your favorite shot in Pickleball? I like a backhanded cross court push dink to pull my opponent wide which often causes them to put it in the net or pop it up.
What are your goals this year in Pickleball? I would love to learn and be able to execute more specialty shots such as the Erne or Lob
What is your advice to new players? Take lessons/clinics to learn the game the right way; watch YouTube videos of Pro matches and study their game patterns. And, just enjoy the process of learning a new sport!
